Hello, I'm Amy, and I am an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor working with adults and young people in the Manchester area. As an integrative practitioner, I'm trained in a variety of psychotherapeutic models, and believe that together we can work with the most appropriate one to support you. These include relational psychotherapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, transactional analysis and person centred therapy. I am trauma focused, and alongside my private practice I also work within a specialist service for clients who have experienced sexual abuse within the NHS.

I'm a relational practitioner, which means I believe that relationships form a huge part of who we are, and can affect our ability to live in the present. Feeling unheard or misunderstood by those around us can have a massive emotional impact on who we are. This might have happened to you when you were a child, or it might be happening in your current relationships. Without positive, fulfilling relationships in our lives, everyday living can become really tough.

As a relational psychotherapist, my main focuses are on the emotional impact these relationships have had on us, and how we can manage these in our present lives, enabling us to live to our greatest potential.

I am qualified to work with ages 14 and above. I am also a member of the BACP, and therefore follow all of their ethical framework and procedures.
